[Japan] Growth Realised Via Internationalisation

Japan has been the nerve centre of global flat glass industry ownership for over a decade. Asahi Glass, Nippon Sheet Glass (following its acquisition of UK-based Pilkington) and Central Glass after its tie up with Saint-Gobain have become three of the largest global flat glass producers. This article assesses the flat glass industry in Japan, and the global initiatives of its major producers.
