[Italy] Saint-Gobain Reduce Auto Glass Production

Saint-Gobain announced 21 April at Assovetro, Milan, Italy, that it will be reducing its production of automotive glass in Italy. The glassworks at Savigliano (Cuneo), which employs 225, will close. Activities of Saint-Gobain Euroveder Italia at Cervasca (Cuneo), which concentrates on glass for home appliances, and employs 143, will be restructured, while activities at the float glass furnace at Saint-Gobain Glass Italia, Pisa, with about 70 workers, will stop. Saint-Gobain has about 4,300 employees in Italy.
