Highly competitive markets for glass products call for continuous efforts to increase productivity, decrease unit glass costs and improve the quality of finished items. In spite of higher thermal efficiency and temperature and increased specific pull, industrial glass furnaces show a continual trend towards prolonged campaigns. Fused cast AZS materials are most widely used.
