Ion-Exchange Strengthening Of Sitall Ware

Tests have shown that ion-exchange strengthening of glass ceramic domestic ware is possible in principle. However, data on the persistence of the strengthening effect during service conditions (i.e. repeated heating to high temperatures and frequent exposure to thermal shock) are needed before a commercially-viable technology can be developed.
