Investigation Of Cat Scratches On Container Glass

Cat scratches - defects which do not compromise the strength of container glass, but are a visual fault - are becoming increasingly more problematic. There seems to be very little literature on the issue, causing problems for glass manufacturers who are striving to find the reasons behind these defects and how to eliminate them. This paper gives an insight into the controversy regarding the character rand origin or cat scratches, and looks at the different explanations and solutions given by experts.
