International Water Price Survey

The most recent NUS survey of water prices covering the period July 1998 to July 1999 reveals that the average cost of water rose by just over 3%. A price climb almost twice the rate of inflation was witnessed by Danish consumers, whilst South Africa suffered the biggest increase in charges since the previous survey in 1998. Other highlights from the 15-country study show that Germany had the most expensive water prices and Canada had the cheapest.
