International glass artists will converge on Stourbridge over the August 2004 Bank Holiday weekend. From 25-30 August the historic glassmaking area around Stourbridge will host a major new international glass festival. The International Festival of Glass offers the opportunity to join workshops with international glass artists, take in a groundbreaking new exhibition of excellence in contemporary British glass art, and mix with other glass artists and enthusiasts. The festival finishes on Bank Holiday Monday 30 August with a spectacular outdoor finale by "Walk the Plank" based on the magic and drama of glassmaking. At the heart of the festival is British Glass Biennale, which showcases work by leading British glassmakers.
