The 10th conference devoted to electric melting and other efficient techniques of glass melting was held in Hradec Kralove from 5th to 7th September. Until recently the town was home to one of the oldest glass research institutes in Europe (which closed about a year ago). The conference was attended by over 200 specialists. In total 20 papers were delivered during the conference and 20 companies exhibited their products and services.
