Last minute legislation has created disadvantages for some UK electricity consumers. As the dust settles on the latest round of electricity contract negotiations, the 1994 National Utility Services (NUS) International Electricity Price Survey shows an average reduction of 3.25% in the cost of electricity for larger commercial and industrial consumers. The survey reveals that while prices fell on average by just over 3% this year, there was a greater spread in prices, with some users benefiting substantially and others experiencing only small decreases.
