The International Crystal Federation has announced with deep regret the passing of Dr.John Kennedy, one of the founders of the organization & a member of the board of directors for the last 17 years. Dr. Kennedy was also chairman of the International Crystal Federation from 1997-2000. He was awarded the "John Cope Leadership Award" in October 2003 during the ICF Technical Exchange Conference in Arques, France. His contributions to the crystal industry are unparalleled, the Federation said. Above all else, the Federation said that Dr. Kennedy will be remembered for his tireless devotion to his family, Waterford Crystal, the ICF and the international crystal industry. A memorial mass will be held in Waterford, Ireland on 29 January 2008 at 10:30am. The family has asked that condolences be sent to his wife, Nora, through Patricia Meade of Waterford Crystal.
