An intelligence density test apparatus has been introduced in this paper, which adopts relative method of sinking and floating to measure the density of materials such as glass, ceramics, etc. This apparatus is in accordance with ASTM C729-75 (84) and GB/T 1490-94. It utilizes photoelectric system for distinguishing sedimentation of specimen on precalculated position. Temperature is collected and temperature rise rate of solution is controlled automatically by computer. Automation of measuring process has been achieved, working efficiency raised and artificial measuring error has been reduced with this density test apparatus.
