This paper discusses oxy-fuel fired furnaces in a way which we believe has not been presented previously. While it is acknowledged that there are specific benefits to be gained from using oxy-fuel it is also believed that there are some concerns which are not being voiced. Conversely, regenerative ceramic burner technology has not received sufficient publication and although it is not a popular science there are a number of advantages that should be brought to light.
