Innovative Mould For New Bottle

Diageo is using a very distinctive bottle supplied by Allied Glass for its new cachaca-based spirit Sambao. In keeping with the "modern and energetic" image of the drink, the bottles are visually unique with a distinctive triangular shape. Allied Glass Containers says the design was very complicated to produce. The glassmaker uses an innovative mould design with a curved offset mould joint. The mould also had to allow for intricate embossing of sugar cane shapes on the bottom of the front panel.
