Innovative Forehearth Technology

Zedtec supplies distributors and forehearths for the production of glass containers, tableware, lighting and tubing products. The company says that its forehearths now come equipped with an innovative software package, Frame, which enables operators to simulate foreharth operation and define optimum set points prior to job changes. Zedtec claims that this system reduces production downtime and improves productivity. According to Zedtec, its unique glass conditioning technology can be retrofitted to existing forehearths and can increse throughput by up to 20% as well as considerably improve glass homogeneity.
