Innovation In Glass Melting

This paper will attempt to review some of the propositions that have been made to improve glass making methods and to analyse the principles involved. To provide a background to these proposals a summary will be made of the strengths and weaknesses of present techniques followed by a recapituation of the various reasons why innovation may be needed.
