Influence Of Polarisation In Parallel Guide Couplers Made By K+ - Na+ Ion Exchange In Glass (French)

It has been shown that the optical axes of the two guides are oblique relative to the plane of symmetry of the coupler, due to the interaction of the stresses in each guide, introduced by ion exchange. Thus the guide axes should be realigned to enable the couplers to maintain polarisation.
