Influence Of Oh Groups On The Fluorine Content And Properties Of Glasses In The System Cao-Alo3-Sio2

During the seperation of melts of glasses contiannig fluorine with water vapour the latter reacts with F ions to form HF, while OH groups enter the glass structure, combine with silica and form Si-OH groups, thereby loosening the structure and lowering the density of the glasses.
