The Influence Of Inhomogeneities In Glass On The Morphology Of The Weathering Layers

The morphology of the weathering layers present on the surface of soil-corroded potash glass has been examined by optical microscopy supplemented by electron probe microanalysis. One specific type of structural irregularity is shown to be related to the presence of cord and ream in the original glass.
