Influence Of Cooling Rate On The Thermodynamic Properties Of Silver Metaphosphate Glass

Silver metaphosphate is a well known model system for studying the thermodynamic properties of phosphate glasses which are of interest for applications as solid electolytes. In particular, the glass transition temperature (Tg), the heat capacity (Cp) and the limiting fictive temperature (Tf) display a dependence upon the details of preparation. Differential scanning calorimetry was used to determine the effects of cooling rate on some thermodynamic properties of the resulting glass.
