Influence Of Blow Away Velocity Field On The Primary Layer Fibre Structure In The Mineral Wool Production Process

This paper presents a study of influence of air flow aerodynamic properties of the mineral wool fibre structure, produced in the wool chamber, where the primary mineral wool layer is formed. The aim of the paper is to investigate the influences of coaxial air flow generated on the nozzles of a four disc spinning machine, on the velocity field distribution in the region of the mineral wool primary layer formation. The study was performed on a real production process and was based on air velocity fluctuation measurements on nozzles of a four disc spinning machine and velocity filed measurements on perforated mesh through which the air flow is entering the suction piping system.
