Glass tableware producers in Indonesia rely in part on the demand generated for their wares by the home market. The political landscape has changed in Indonesia recently and the country has seen an affirmation of new ways, with democracy at work. The relatively stability in the country has been in marked contrast in recent times with Thailand for instance, which has experienced not only widely reported unrest and political troubles but an economy which has contracted by the biggest margin in a decade.
