[Indonesia] Iglas Goes On

Indonesia's Minister of State Enterprises has moved to quash speculation that the state-owned glassmaker, PT Industri Gelasa (Iglas) is to be liquidated. It did confirm, however, that the country's soda producer PT Industri Soda will be liquidated. The Government still intends to sell its 63% stake in PT Iglas to private investors, but discussions are ongoing between the Minister and members of the country's parliament. Estimates of the likely proceeds of the sale of shares in PT Iglas suggest the government could gain around 12BN Indonesia Rupiah (around US$ 131,000).
