[India] Soda Ash Producers Raise Prices By 12%

Leading Indian soda ash makers such as Tata Chemicals, Nirma, DCW & GHCL have either already raised prices by around 12% or are in the process of doing so. Prices have doubled in the past 15 months to INR 16,750/tonne from just over INR 9,000/tonne. The soaring prices are causing problems for detergent and glass manufacturers.
