[India] Revised National Building Code Of India 2016 Equipped With A New Section On Glass And Glazing

India's National Building Code (2016, IS: 16231 (Part 4) Code of Practice on Use of Glass in Buildings) is a vital document anticipated to assist and regulate the building construction sector and to unify building regulations throughout the country. Local authorities in India are responsible to regulate the building sector in the areas of their jurisdiction, hence, the Code contains guidelines on all these aspects and regulations which can be immediately adopted. The first version of the Code was published in 1970 by the then Indian Standards Institution. This article provides an overview on the new sections that have been added to the Code on glass and glazing.
