[India] Hindustan Considers Future Acquisitions

Hindustan National Glass & Industries (HNGI) is reported to be considering further acquisitions in India and overseas to expand its presence. "We are very keen on acquisitions in India," said HNGI's Assistant VP, Sanjay Jain. "However, we are yet to identify targets." According to sources, the company is looking to acquire in countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia & Egypt & and invest in companies that can produce a minimum of 250-300/tpd. HNGI currently manufactures 2575/tpd and has total of 6 manufacturing facilities in India. The company has recently rebuilt a furnace in Rishra with an investment of Rs120 crore and plans to rebuild a further two furnaces at its Bahadurgarh facility.
