[India] Agi Glasspac - Furnace Start Up 2009

AGI Glasspac, the container glass division of Hindustan Sanitaryware and Industries Ltd, plans to commission the first 425-tonnes-per-day furnace at its new plant at Bhongir in Nalgonda district by February 2009. The company, which plans to set up two more furnaces at the plant, expects to achieve a capacity of 1500/tpd by 2013. AGI Glasspac intends to invest about INR 10 billion (including the Phase I investment of INR 2.3BN) at Bhongir. The company already has one container glass unit with a daily capacity of 525 tonnes in Hyderabad
