Increasing Quality And Economy In Bottle Production

The new CHRocodile M4 thickness measurement system from Precitec Optronic provides an economical solution for in-line inspection during the production of bottles and other container glass. The system directly records the thickness and roundness of the glass body without contact and with high precision during the ongoing production process, meaning that it is not necessary to take out and measure samples during production. CHRocodile M4 works with a high measuring rate of 4000 measurements/second so that very minor flaws can still be detected as fast belt speeds of, for example, 4m/s. It does not matter whether flint or coloured glass vessels are passing along the line. The system uses the optical measuring process of chromatic wall thickness measurement. Up to 4 independent measuring points also record the glass thickness. See: www.crocodile.de
