Increased Availability Of Forehearth Products

In this article the author explains how the cooperation of two companies has increased the combination of forehearth products for the glass industry. In July last year, Emhart Glass and Sorg announced that the complete Emhart glass forehearth programme, including the current 240, 340, 560, and 650 models, would be transferred to Sorg with immediate effect. The announcement confirmed that Sorg would issue quotations, supply engineering and equipment and provide installation, commissioning and support services for these products. Sort would also continue to supply its own ST Series glass conditioning systems alongside the Emhart products. This article explains how Sorg justify running two competing product lines in parallel. In this particular case there are a number of important aspects to consider.
