Inbev: Court Rules On Challenge To Bigger Glasses

According to Belgian daily, L'Echo, 30th January, a Belgian court has rejected a move by the Belgian catering trade aimed at forcing brewer Inbev to withdraw a new series of beer glasses. Inbev introduced larger beer glasses for its Jupiler brand in 2006. Operators & proprietors of bars, cafes & restaurants, represented by catering association Horeca, said larger measures in larger glasses are hitting their profits. The court ruled that forcing Inbev to reintroduce its smaller glasses was not "economically justifiable."
