Improving The Strength Of Platinum Components

Manufacturers of platinum equipment for glass processing are continually looking at ways of improving its strength. Before doing so, however, the design engineer must know the values of elastic properites, stress-rupture, and creep properties of platinum. In this paper the authors look at these three areas to investigate how to strengthen platinum alloys. Their findings are presented in this report.
