Improving The Neck Ring Mechanism Assembly

Sheppee International has recently introduced an enhancement to the IS machine neck ring mechanism assembly. The development has been made in response to customers' calls to replace the conventional method of pinned end caps with bearings with which problems can occur at high speeds. A low friction ball bearing has replaced the conventional cast iron end cap, resulting in a more smooth and reliable operation. The design of the bearing seating allows lubrication to enter the ball race via the normal lubrication point on the IS machine claps. The newly developed bearing type end caps are much less susceptible to wear caused by contamination with cullet and dust.
