Improvements In Or Relating To Flat (Float) Glass.

During the manufacture of flat glass by the float process, the glass surface which has been in contact with the molten tin is treated with a gaseous halogen reagent for a sufficient time and at a sufficient temperature to render harmless those impurities which have entered the glass surface as a result of having been in contact with the molten tin, the polished glass surface being preserved.
