Improvement Of Hydrophobicity Of Phosphate Optical Glass By A Silane Surface Coating

Phosphate glasses have relatively poor hydrophobicity which hinder their applications especially in heavily moist conditions. This paper presents a way of improving hydrophobicity by surface coating of hydrogen-containing methyl silicone oil (HMSO).
