Improvement Of The Electrical Insulating Properties Of Glass: A Comparison Between The Depressing Effect And The Mixed Alkali Effect

Results of measurements of volume resistance and dielectric loss on seven samples of insulator glass showed that both the depressing effect and the mixed alkali effect significantly improved the insulation properties, the former being preferable from the viewpoint of batch and melting costs.
