Improved Results For Asahi India In 3Q 2006

Asahi India Glass Ltd reported a net profit of INR 133.557M on net turnover of INR 1853.154M for the 3Q/06 ending December on a standalone basis, compared to net profit of INR 24.842M on net turnover of INR 1214.66M for the 3Q ended December 2005. During the 3Q 2006-2007, the company made revenues of INR 1056.802M from its automotive glass & INR 746.207M from float glass segments. The company posted a net profit of INR 331.583M on a net turnover of INR 5317.254M for the 9m ended December 2006, compared to net profit of INR 193.139M on net turnover of INR 4298.28M in same period ending December 2005.
