Importance Of Glass Wall Systems As A Factor Of Providing Daylighting Into Modern Building

Light is of decisive importance in modern architecture. After the introduction on the relationship between glass wall construction technologies &daylight quantity/quality on building, daylighting principles of glass wall construction for different types of modern buildings are summarised. Innovative daylight systems and evaluation of some buildings which are designed with specific glass wall construction systems to provide daylight to the exterior are examined. Then, famous building examples are shown. Finally, the findings are discussed.
