Ikea Recall

Ikea has recalled its own brand jars of marinated herring due to glass contamination. Three varieties of its own brand jars of marinated herring 250g, due to two reports of glass contamination. As a precautionary measure, Ikea withdrew the product from stores from 17 April 2007. It has now initiated a public recall where by press notices will appear in national press from 10 May 2007. The notice advises consumers of the reason for the recall and the actions they should take if they have already purchased the affected products. The products recalled are: Ikea Food Dillsill (marinated herring with dill); Ikea Food Senapsill (marinated herring with mustard); and Ikea Food Inlagdsill (marinated herring with onions and carrots). These products have a "best before" date of 13-02-08 or earlier.
