The 15th International Crystal Federation (ICF) conference was hosted by ARC International in France in October/03. Over 100 delegates representing 15 countries attended the conference. A keynote address was given by Philippe Durand, from ARC International. Topics discussed were: Inverse Engineering in the World of Glass Blowing; Virtual Glass Academy; Experiences with the Surface Coating of Moulds and Handling Tools; Improvement of Surface Properties of Lead Crystal; Long-term alteration of lead containing glasses; Platinum Coated Heating Electrode System for Feeders & Spouts; and concluded with; The "Song" of Glass. Sessions the following day included: Sustainable Development; Voluntary Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission; Benefits Obtained with "Ready for Production" Batch; and, Lead Crystal Glass Formulation.
