The Hungarian Glass Industry

In the last five years, the Hungarian glass industry has been swimming in toubled waters due to bankruptcies, privatisations or close-downs of all previously state-owned glassworks. The movement, which has not yet been finished, started in 1992 when the Hungarian government launched the "Industrial Crisis Management Programme", and included 13 glass companies employing a total of 10,000 people.
