How Furnace Operation Affects Azs Glass Phase Exudation

Studies have shown that enhanced formation of additional microporosity, from reboil on reheat, is primarily responsible for damage of AZS refractory integrity. The porosity reduces corrosion resistance by increasing the effective surface area of the glass contact surface.
