Hot Repair Of Silica Crowns

Fundamental in the repair of silica crowns is understanding the mechanism of rat holing. In this paper, Lubisol explains its repair solution which is based upon the principle that condensation corrosion and rat holing can be avoided by hermetically sealing the silica crown. The author describes a silica patch called Si-Seal which has been designed to fulfill this function.
