AGR's Hot End Trend Analyzer is a camera-based inspection system that provides hot end operators with precise, real-time information about the quality of the ware being produced. The HETA determines trends in out-of-spec ware, indicates defects, and helps identify the source of defects at the time of production. Statistical information for each container is immediately available to the hot end operator. Therefore, the operator can identify and correct problems before the containers enter the lehr. The system displays cavity, and also stores the image of the last three rejects. The operator can recall these images to see the defects as recognized by the system. The system will detect surface, visual, and edge defects such as birdswings, inclusions, stones, mould dope, oil marks, slug bottoms and heel taps.
