Hot End Laser Coding Of Glass Containers Improves Traceability

This article describes how O-I has completed the installation of hot end laser coding equipment on 6 of its 7 high speed production lines at its Harlow site. Most coding systems come into play after the bottles have been inspected. O-I has worked in partnership with Linx, to develop the application of laser coding to the hot end between the forming machine and the lehr and the code is applied when the bottles are still red hot (around 450 deg C).
