Hollow Glass Workability Iv: Checked Finish

One of the most delicate parts of a bottle is represented by the mouth. This part is formed under difficult conditions as compared to the body and bottom of the container. Consequently, the forming model is modified accordingly. As a result, a much higher tensile stress compared to the body occurs on the finish during formation; this stress could explain the checked finish mechanism.
