A Highly Productive Investment

Beatson Clark's £12M investment programme has continued with the installation of a new robotic pack palletiser at the Rotherham factory. The firm has invested over £200,000 in a robotic pack palletiser to service the amber glass production lines at the Rotherham plant. Two amber production lines, which produce over 80 different products, each with its own unique pack size, are constantly running to the robot, which can palletise 16 pre-formed, film wrapped packs/minute. Projects manager, Colin Rimmer explained: "The new robot will significantly speed up the palletisation process & also improve the quality of the packs. It is operated with state of the art technology including a touch screen information panel & servo controls for accurate speed & positional control. Basically, it does exactly what it is told & delivers 100% repeatability every time."
