High Standard Glass Recycling

The present balance sheet for recycling proves that in Germany, glass recycling is classed as a system of recycling raw materials functioning in an exemplary fashion. With a recycling rate of 80.6%, it leaves almost all other packaging materials way behind when the ratio of domestic sales to recycling of container glass is considered. On the one hand this success is due to the outstanding recyclability of container glass as a packaging material, and on the other, to the enthusiastic support on the part of German consumers for the concept of recycling.
