High Quality, Lighter Containers At One Fifth The Nnpb Cost

The Quantum "95 Process" is an innovative system which enables glassmakers to improve container quality and reduce gob weight. Existing blow and blow (BB) process equipment may be used, and yet the same results as the narrow neck press and blow process (NNPB) can be achieved at much lower costs. This article is based on a paper presented by the author at the AFGM - Asean Federation of Glass Manufacturers' 22nd Asean Glass Conference in Mandaluyong City, Philippines on 22 October 1997.
