High Cost Of Passing Off

The GGF has warned its members that an inferior product is being passed off as ClearShield surface protection. Manufacturer of ClearShield, Ritec said, "Investigations carried out by Ritec have exposed organisations found guilty of passing off a product clearly unfit for purpose on contracts where ClearShield has been specifically asked for and customers have been maliciously misled to believe that their glass had been protected with ClearSheild after they specified it, where in reality the protection had been substituted by an inferior technology." They also added, "Ritec is committed to act vigorously against those organisations which are clearly committing illegal actions by using the reputation of high performance and high quality of ClearShield Glass."
