The 1997 Frankfurt Motor Show was the starting point for Visteon, one of the world's leading automotive parts supplier, which is now present in 23 countries, with its almost 82,000 employees. Spun off by Ford in June last year, Visteon is now facing the problems this situation is creating. This paper looks at how the company is coping, and how it intends to grow now that it is on its own.
