Hand Injuries Due To Glass

A survey of injuries due to glass has been conducted by the British Society for Surgery of the Hand, by the use of a questionnaire sent to all members, requesting details of injuries treated during a three month period from March 1986 to June 1986. The information derived from replies received 27 members is shown and compared with data derived from other available publications. It is clear that the published statistics on the subject fail to reflect accurately the prevalence of glass injuries, due presumably to defects in the method by which the information is received.
